Making her laugh
There is nothing in the world like hearing Leelee's laughter. The laugh that comes up all the way from her toes. It moves her belly and shakes her shoulders. It is truly the best thing in the world.
Leelee's daddy can make her laugh really hard. He makes funny faces, jumps up and down, bounces around. She loves it. I can make her laugh by tickling and blowing raspberries all over her. Her toothless grin is just so heart-breakingly fantastic. Makes me want to kiss her all over.
Times like this, we just want the world to stop. It is really bitter-sweet watching her grow up. Sometimes we want her to stay just as she is. Her growing independance makes us think back to the time, just 7 months ago, when she could hardly do anything. In those days, her smiles were more gas than emotion.
In seven short (and long) months, how did she learn so much?!! It is amazing.
