Raising Leelee

What is about tags that Leelee finds so fascinating? She will play endlessly with the tags on Tigger, the Lamaze mirror and more recently, the mobile. She touches their smooth satin, sucks on them, fiddles with them. So much so that I had to get a Taggies blanket for her. She loves the little tags on them and systematically moves from one tag to the next, sucking each one on the way.

When she finally wraps her fingers around the tag, she yanks on it really hard, trying to rip it out.. perhaps it is just another step towards mastering how to pick up things with her thumb and forefinger. Who knows?

Obviously, many babies are fascinated by tags, since there is such a thing as a Taggies blanket. The inventor was a pretty brilliant chap to come up with the idea.
